I’ve been DYING to shoot a wedding at The Carneros Resort Hotel and Spa ever since I moved to Napa. I actually shot a proposal under the arbor there last fall – you can check that blog post out here! I was so excited when the very talented Michelle Angeli Photography asked me to second shoot a wedding there with her a few months ago! I was even more excited because I hadn’t shot with Michelle since pre-covid back in 2019! She’s seriously so talented and I always love learning from other photographers.
The weekend before this wedding, it was literally 105 degrees in the Napa Valley so when Liz and Steve came in from Texas, they were so lucky and grateful to have an 85 degree wedding day. But never forget to bring your jackets when you’re visiting Napa Valley because once the sun dips down behind those mountains, it gets pretty chilly.
The Carneros Resort is an interesting venue – there’s a couple spots you can get married and on this day they actually have one large wedding and eleven elopements! Crazy, right?! The most popular ceremony space is at the arbor with the palm trees and the mountains in the background. Or you can get married at Hilltop if you want a more intimate wedding. Either way, the views are stunning.
There’s also a few reception options. I thought the reception was going to be inside but was pleasantly surprised when I found it was outside! All of the details were so beautiful. The tablescapes were stunning with all of the greenery and the blue floral napkins.
If you’ve been to The Carneros Resort, you’ll know it’s a bit of a maze. There’s tons of little cottages and nooks and crannies for photos. From palm trees to olive trees to sunset views overlooking the Carneros region of Napa Valley, you really can’t beat this venue!
