Sami + Ian

I had sooo much fun associate shooting with Sami and Ian for Michelle Angeli Photography at the Straus Home Ranch out in Tomales, California! Sami and Ian actually got married last year and had a small elopement-style wedding at a cute Airbnb in Sonoma, California with just a few of their family members. When they scheduled their larger wedding day, Michelle was unfortunately unavailable and I’m so happy I was so happy to step in for her and capture Sami and Ian’s big wedding day. 

Sami and Ian decided to do an “engagement session” (and kind of maternity session – peep her cute little bump!) to capture some fun, non-wedding photos at their gorgeous venue a couple days before their wedding day. They were having their wedding at Straus Home Ranch in Tomales, a gorgeous property right across the street from the water with the cutest house, a big red barn and a stunning grove of eucalyptus trees. They were able to stay at the house the few days before the wedding, which I thought was so much fun!

I drove out to Tomales for their session and it was a BEAUTIFUL day. You would’ve had no idea that we had just had the craziest rain storm we’ve had in years just a couple days prior. Sami walked me around the property and showed me where the ceremony was going to be, where the reception was going to be, etc. it was so fun because it was a great opportunity to scout out spots for portraits and group photos for the wedding day. 

I had so much fun exploring the property with them. We even went across the street to the water for some photos. I can’t wait to share their wedding photos too!
