Kelli + Kyle

I was so excited when my friend Shannon from Sunshine Shannon Photography reached out to me and asked me if I was available to second shoot with her at a wedding at Deer Park Villa in Fairfax, California. I’ve been wanting to shoot there for so long and I was so excited to finally get the opportunity!

Since I was second shooting, I got to hang out with the boys. Kyle and the guys got ready at a beautiful Airbnb in San Rafael, about ten minutes down the street from Deer Park Villa. When I got there, my jaw dropped because they had such a stunning view from up in the hills. 

Being a boy on a wedding day is just the best – you get to hang out and watch the game with your friends and it takes you way less time to get ready haha. It was so much fun to hang out with them, enjoy the views, and roam around the gorgeous house. I couldn’t get over the high ceilings and the view of the bay. 

After the guys finished getting ready, I headed over to Deer Park Villa and joined Shannon and the girls. I LOVED all of their details and the blue bridesmaids dresses were gorgeous. They even all have cute little bride and bridesmaid champagne glasses with their names on them. Kelly’s dress was SO beautiful and she looked absolutely stunning. 

Kelli and Kyle did a first look before the ceremony to ease the nerves and it was so cute. They’re just such a genuine couple and their love for each other is so obvious. 

Deer Park Villa is a cool venue because everything is all in one space. The ceremony was gorgeous amongst the redwoods and then after the ceremony, the event staff quickly switched the ceremony space into the reception space. The reception details were SO PRETTY. I was obsessed with the stunning glassware and all the blues against the pretty redwood trees and I just couldn’t stop taking photos. 

One thing that Kelli and Kyle did that I highly recommend is do a day after session. Unfortunately I didn’t get to partake in this session but Kelli, Kyle and Shannon went to Mt Tam the day after their wedding and took their wedding portraits there. I recommend this to couples because it allows you to enjoy your whole wedding day with your friends and family and not have to stress about getting photos the day of. Plus you get to wear your dress and/or suit again and can bring your dog!

Anyways, Kelli and Kyle were so amazing and this was such a great day to be a part of 🙂
