If you’re new here, you might know that I’m a wedding photographer based in beautiful Napa, California. But you might not know that I’m from the small town of Placerville, California! So when Audrey and Zac wanted to do their engagement session up at Sly Park Lake, I couldn’t wait to go back to my old stomping grounds to shoot with them! I actually came across Audrey’s Instagram profile a looong time ago (creepy? maybe haha) through a mutual friend and thought they were such an adorable couple. So it was a pleasant surprise when they reached out to me to be their wedding photographer!
We planned the shoot for early November and we were all a little nervous that it would rain and make all of the beautiful autumn leaves fall off the trees. But to our pleasant surprise, it hadn’t rained yet by the time the session came around and the colors of the leaves were soooo beautiful. I kept stopping to look in awe at how pretty everything was. It was the perfect fall day for an engagement session 🙂
We had intended on going to the waterfall because Zac actually proposed up at Bassi Falls by the waterfall. But to our disappoint, the trail to the waterfall was closed. But we went so many other beautiful spots that it made up for it – we walked some trails and all around the lake. It literally looked like a painting and I couldn’t wait to get home to edit the photos and send sneak peeks!
Audrey and Zac are getting married at a venue at Silverthorn Meadows in Camino, California in June and I’m SO excited to capture them do the thang and party it up with their closest friends and family. It’s going to be a blast!
