This weather and locations we shot at could not have been more beautiful this day – it was the perfect spring day.
When Ayala and Mike reached out to me about their elopement back in 2020, I was SO excited! They wanted to elope in the redwoods and end their day out at the beach out at Goat Rock in Sonoma County. I knew that a cute outdoorsy spot for their engagement session would suit them perfectly! We were originally going to go to Timberhill Park in Browns Valley in Napa which is also so beautiful. But the day before our session I went for a short hike out at Alston Park in Napa and it was SOOO pretty with all the green hills and the flowy grass. I HAD to send them pictures to see if they wanted to change locations since it was only ten minutes away from where we originally planned to shoot.
I also recommended we split up our shoot between two locations for a little bit of variety so we met at this cute tree tunnel and started our session there! It was so windy that day but these two rocked and rolled with it. Their matching casual outfits were so fun and I’m obsessed with their matching shoes! I’ve been dying to do a shoot at this tree tunnel since I moved to Napa and I’m so glad they were down because they turned out so great!
After we finished at the tree tunnel, they did a quick outfit change and we headed down the road to Alston Park. Once we got there, we climbed to the top of the hill where there were rolling hills of bare vineyards. Even though the vineyards were bare it was still so gorgeous because all the grass was green and flowy, and the bare vineyards added a little bit of texture to the photos.
I literally couldn’t stop saying “oh my gosh it’s so beautiful.” After we hung out at the top of the hill for a while, we continued down and wandered around more fields and we danced and ran and laughed and it was seriously so much fun!
