Steve + Barb

Steve and Barb had a beautiful and intimate elopement-style wedding day in Napa Valley, California. I’m so glad and honored to have been a part of it and capture the day for them. When they first reached out to me, I was so excited to hear all of the plans that they had – they just wanted to have a really fun and celebratory day, which is what I’m all about! 

They actually live in Chicago and Barb had a work event in Las Vegas planned. So they said to each other “what the heck, let’s get married in Vegas” and that’s was the original plan. Long story short, plans changed, the work event got canceled and they ended up redirecting their plans to Napa Valley with their two very close friends Rhonda and Johnny for their wedding. I’m so glad they did – it could not have been a more beautiful day. 

They got a VRBO up in Calistoga where they stayed and got ready before the wedding. It was such a gorgeous day, you’d have no idea that it was 105°. After getting ready, Steve and Barb did a “first look” out by the vineyards and then read letters they had written to each other and it was so special. 

Afterwards, we all headed to Hans Fahden Vineyards for the ceremony. Hans Fahden Vineyards is tucked way up in the hills in Calistoga and it’s a bit of a drive but absolutely worth it. Steve and Barb had their intimate ceremony down in the luscious gardens and it was stunning. 

It was a little toasty so before taking some photos around the property, we all headed inside for a champagne toast and cake cutting. We also got to explore the wine caves, which was super cool!

To end their day, they all headed to The French Laundry for dinner to celebrate. It was all around the perfect wedding day for Steve and Barb and it makes me so happy when couples curate their day to be exactly what they want rather than what everyone else expects of you. Cheers to Steve and Barb!
