Rhyan + Madeline

I was so excited when my friend Nicola from Nicola Leigh Photography reached out to me and asked if I wanted to second shoot with her at Cline Cellars in Sonoma, California. I’ve been dying to shoot at this venue and it definitely did not disappoint. I thought it was going to be this small, cute winery but it ended up being a big, beautiful venue and it far surpassed any expectations I could have had for it. 

As the second photographer, I got to hang out with the guys. We started at The Lodge at Sonoma Resort in the heart of Wine Country in Sonoma for the “getting ready” photos with the guys. If you’re getting married at a venue in Sonoma, California and need a spot to get ready, I highly recommend this hotel – it was so dang beautiful everywhere you looked. 

We headed to Cline Cellars for the first look and Madeline looked absolutely stunning in her dress. We also had some fun doing group photos and then the wedding party had some fun playing for home and other games before the ceremony started. It was such a chill, fun start to the day. 

The ceremony was short and sweet out on the lawn under a gorgeous tree. I’ve never done a wedding where they had a surprise officiant but nobody knew that Madeline’s brother was going to officiate until the ceremony began and it was just such a sweet thing for her brother to get to officiate the wedding for them. 

Cocktail hour was out on the lawn and it was… I feel like I keep saying everything was so beautiful but it really was! After cocktail hour, everyone headed into the barrel room for dinner and the reception. I’m so obsessed with how they transformed this space – they did an incredible job with it. 

It was all around such a light, fun, beautiful day and I’m so glad I got to help capture it.
