Makenzie + Thomas

I had SOOO much fun with Makenzie and Thomas at their coastal engagement session in Bodega Bay, California! From the very first zoom call with them, I felt like we instantly clicked and I just knew it was going to be a good time.

Makenzie and Thomas met and started dating in high school – high school sweethearts! Makenzie’s family comes to Bodega Bay all the time for Thanksgiving and New Years Eve and Thomas decided that’s where he wanted to pop the question. If you scroll down and see the big rock they’re standing on, he proposed right there! I love when couples choose a location for their engagement session that’s meaningful to them because that makes the photos just THAT much more special 🙂 I had also never been to this beach and I always love when couples introduce me to new spots! I have a location guide that I send out to all of my couples who book engagement sessions, but it’s always fun to go somewhere new for me and special for you!

As I was driving into Bodega Bay, it was pretty foggy but the skies cleared up for us and it ended up being so perfect and we were blessed with an absolutely stunning sunset. There was so much fun and laughter as we ran around the beach taking photos and I just had so much fun with these two. They’re just so dang cute and I CAN’T WAIT for their wedding next year in Napa Valley – it’s going to be a freaking PARTY!
