If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married in Italy but wanted to stay in California, let me introduce you to Jacuzzi Family Winery in Sonoma — because this venue truly feels like stepping into an Italian villa tucked away in wine country.
Joyce and Ryan’s summer wedding at Jacuzzi Family Winery was one of those days that felt effortlessly romantic from beginning to end. Between the warm sunshine, vineyard views, stone architecture, and candlelit barrel room reception, every part of the day felt intimate, elegant, and incredibly timeless.
As a Sonoma wedding photographer, this venue is honestly such a dream to photograph. Everywhere you turn there’s textured stone walls, wooden doors, olive trees, vineyards, and soft golden light that makes everything feel cinematic.
One of my favorite parts of Joyce and Ryan’s wedding day was that they chose to spend the morning together while getting ready. There was something so calm and intentional about the way they approached the day — no stress, no rushing, just excitement to finally marry each other.
Their wedding details perfectly matched the feel of the venue: neutral tones, soft florals, elegant textures, and subtle European-inspired touches that fit so naturally within the winery’s Italian villa aesthetic.
The bridal suite portraits felt especially timeless with the soft window light and classic architecture throughout the property. Joyce looked absolutely stunning in her sleek gown with a dramatic train, while Ryan’s neutral suit complemented the warm tones of the venue beautifully.
And of course, their dog completely stole the show for part of the day.
One of the reasons couples love Jacuzzi Family Winery is because it genuinely does not feel like California in certain corners of the property. The stone buildings, vine-covered walls, fountains, archways, and rustic wooden doors create such a strong Italian countryside atmosphere.
For couples wanting a destination wedding feel without leaving California, this Sonoma winery wedding venue is honestly perfect.
We spent part of portrait time wandering through the stone courtyards and vineyards during golden hour, and the light was unreal. Summer weddings in Sonoma always bring the dreamiest warm glow, especially when the sun starts dropping over the vineyards.
Joyce and Ryan were so natural together the entire day — relaxed, playful, affectionate — which made photographing them feel incredibly effortless.
Okay but we NEED to talk about the reception space.
The barrel room at Jacuzzi Family Winery is genuinely one of the most stunning reception spaces in Sonoma wine country. Between the massive wine barrels, warm wood ceilings, candlelight, and long reception tables, the entire space feels romantic and elevated while still feeling cozy and intimate.
The reception design leaned perfectly into the Italian-inspired atmosphere of the winery with soft florals, layered candlelight, textured linens, and warm earthy tones.
Once the candles were glowing and guests filled the room, it felt like an actual dinner party in Tuscany.
One of my favorite parts of the evening was how fully everyone embraced the celebration. Emotional speeches, incredible food, packed dance floor energy — the entire reception felt joyful from start to finish.
As a California wedding photographer, Jacuzzi Family Winery is honestly one of my favorite Sonoma wedding venues for couples wanting:
It’s the kind of venue that photographs beautifully in every season, but summer weddings here especially have such a magical atmosphere.
Joyce and Ryan — thank you both for trusting me to document such an incredible day. Your wedding felt warm, intentional, emotional, and genuinely fun from beginning to end and I’m still obsessed with how beautifully everything came together.
